Argentina
Argentina is not only geographically varied but is also culturally very diverse. The dramatic scenery includes stark desert, windswept plains, Andean peaks and thundering waterfalls. Buenos Aires is one of South America's most colourful cities, with a strong European influence many of the streets are typically Parisian in style with a lively cafe culture.
The area surrounding San Carlos de Bariloche offers a huge range of outdoor pursuits in the nearby mountains, rivers and lakes. On the west coast, the Valdes Peninsula is home to almost a million penguins as well as elephant seals, sea lions and whales. Further south, El Calafate acts as a great base for exploring the incredible Glaciares National Park. For those with more time Tierra del Fuego is in the far south and includes some amazing attractions including the Beagle Channel, ancient forests and the beautiful remote town of Ushuaia.
Student groups will love exploring this amazing country, trying their hand at cattle ranching, sampling the steaks and maybe even having a go at the Tango!
