A journey through the Eastern Himalayan region. All the areas covered on this tour are renown for their stunning scenery. The beautiful rolling hills and tea estates of Darjeeling, the unique flora and dramatic mountain back drop in Sikkim and the snow-capped kingdom of Bhutan with its magnificent fortresses and unique culture. This tour is nicely paced with plenty of time to enjoy the sights at each destination. We will take care of all the permits and paper work necessary to travel to these remote areas. A local Indian tour leader will accompany the group at all times and local guides are used in Bhutan to ensure you get the most out of this fantastic trip.

On arrival in Kolkata you will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel. After some time to rest after your journey your tour leader will meet with the group and take you on a short orientation tour, the rest of the day will be free in this magnificent city, once capital of British India. There will be some time for sightseeing on your return to Kolkata so you may wish to have a relaxed start to your tour, perhaps visiting the Botanical Gardens or wandering through one or two of Kolkata’s superb museums.
