Egypt

Egypt is famous for so many things, it has the longest river in the world and one of the oldest cultures with 5000 years of recorded history. It was here that the exquisite treasures of King Tutankhamen were discovered and the great Pyramids still stand on the edge of Africa’s largest city. From the  madness of downtown Cairo with its labyrinth of bazaars to the underwater paradise of the Red Sea to the immense statues of Ramses gazing out over Lake Nasser - Egypt's treasures are as numerous as its history is long.
Egypt would not exist if it were not for the waters of the mighty Nile. The valley is a rich, green ribbon of land bisecting the vast and hostile deserts that lie to the east and west. No trip to Egypt is complete without a trip down the Nile be it by luxury cruise or tradition felucca. Most river trips are done between Luxor and Aswan. Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes, is an Aladdin’s cave of archaeological treasure, it is here you will find the majestic Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Karnak and Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple. Aswan is the start of black Africa, with a unique Nubian culture, it is perhaps one of the most laid back places on the planet.
Only three hours drive from Luxor are the warm waters of the Red Sea. Whether diving or snorkelling there is a myriad of tropical fish to be seen, even in the shallowest of waters.  If you would like to extend your family trip to include some time relaxing on the Red Sea coast we are more than happy to arrange this for you.

Egypt has so much to offer its visitors and you will find the Egyptian people warm and friendly with perhaps the best sense of humour in the world. Egypt is one of those countries that brings people back for more again and again.
