Nepal

The name Nepal conjures up images of lofty, snow clad peaks, villages tucked into mountain sides, age-old traditions and folklore and rugged mountaineers with snowy beards and peeling noses. The Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal is unusually diverse for a small country and has been an adventure travel destination before the phrase was coined.

A school trip to Nepal will expose the students to the harshness of life in the over populated centre of Kathmandu and the simplicity of life in the traditional farming villages in Chitwan. They will also have the opportunity to see some of the most dramatic landscapes in the world as well as learning about conservation and how it can sometimes conflict with human interests. Cultural experiences can be combined with some world class adventure activities such as rafting, Himalayan trekking and jungle safari.
