This short tour takes in the highlights of Sinai and Jordan with a great mix of activities and historic sites. Sinai is perfect for an action packed school trip with options to try camel trekking, snorkelling, diving, quad biking as well as enjoying the hospitality of our Bedouin friends. Combining Sinai with Jordan means that the students will get a great insight into two very different countries as well as visiting the amazing Treasury at Petra.
The group will fly from UK to Sharm el Sheik. On arrival your tour leader will meet the group and take you direct from Sharm to Dahab and our beachside hotel. Overnight in Dahab (Hotel) Meals: no meals included today
Today is free for the students to choose from a great selection of activities. Options include: snorkelling, diving, quad biking in the dunes, horse riding or camel safari. In the evening your tour leader will take everyone for a traditional Bedouin meal at a camp owned by our Bedouin friends. Overnight in Dahab (Hotel) Meals: breakfast, dinner
Today the group will drive across Sinai to the gulf of Aqaba and the Port town of Nuweiba. From here they will take a ferry to Aqaba and drive the short distance to Wadi Rum. Our Bedouin camp crew will be waiting to welcome the group to the camp in this incredible landscape of coloured canyons. Overnight in Wadi Rum (Camp) Meals: breakfast, dinner.
Today there will be a full day sightseeing in Wadi Rum. 4 x 4 jeeps will take the students on a desert adventure through the colourful sands to see some of the amazing rock formations. This lonely landscape is outstanding in its natural beauty. In the afternoon the group will continue to the Rose City. Overnight in Petra (Hotel) Meals: breakfast, lunch
The students will visit one of the most inspirational man-made monuments on earth today. Trekking through the steep sided 'siq' in true Indiana Jones style they will arrive at the Treasury. Here they can take time to explore the ancient royal tombs, the rock-cut streets, temples, staircases and amphitheatre. Once everyone is done exploring, the group will return to Dahab via the Gulf of Aqaba. Overnight in Dahab (Hotel) Meals: breakfast.
Today there is a free day to enjoy Dahab. Options include: snorkelling, diving and one day PADI courses. Overnight in Dahab (Hotel) Meals: breakfast
Early in the morning the group will head west to the mountains. St Catherine's is a pretty little village tucked beneath the sacred mountain where Moses received the Ten Commandments. The group will be staying at a fixed Bedouin Camp in the village, during the day they will have a guided tour of the beautiful monastery that sits at the foot of the mountain, built on the site of the biblical burning bush. In the afternoon there is an option to trek to the summit of the mountain to watch the sunset over the barren, mountainous Sinai desert - a truly magical end to the journey. This morning the group will head back to Sharm for the homebound flight. Meals: breakfast
